What people ask before they join.
Do I need my RWA or society to approve PadosXO first?
No. Residents join individually with their own pincode, so no committee, RWA vote or building-level sign-up is needed. You can be the only person in your building on PadosXO and still have a full feed, because it covers your neighbourhood, not just your building.
Can I use PadosXO if I'm renting?
Yes. PadosXO makes no difference between owners and tenants. What matters is that you live in the area you registered. Tenants often get more out of it, because they're newer and need local recommendations faster.
What can a Verified Local do that other users can't?
Verified residents can post safety alerts, which reach verified neighbours around them straight away. Unverified accounts can't, and business or service pages never can. The verified badge also appears next to your name across the app.
How do I find a trustworthy plumber, electrician or cook near me?
Post a Requirement saying what you need, or check Ask Community, where someone has probably asked already. Answers come from neighbours who've actually used the person. For anyone working inside your home, complete police verification too. A neighbour's referral is a strong start, not a substitute.
Is it safe to buy and sell with neighbours on PadosXO?
It's structurally safer than an open classifieds site. The other person lives near you, and you can see whether they're a verified resident before you agree to anything. Standard care still applies: inspect the item, meet somewhere visible, and don't pay before you've seen it.
Will my neighbours see my phone number or exact address?
No. Your phone number isn't shown on your profile, in posts, or to businesses and service providers. Your exact address is never displayed. Neighbours see the area you're registered in, not your building, flat or live location.
What if my pincode isn't live yet?
Check your pincode on the Download page. If it isn't open yet, register your interest and we'll tell you when it goes live. Outside Delhi NCR, you can join early access and invite your neighbours.
How is this different from my society's WhatsApp group?
A WhatsApp group can't confirm members live nearby, can't separate an emergency from a forward, and loses useful answers within hours. PadosXO keeps alerts, questions and sales separate, limits alerts to verified residents, and reaches your whole neighbourhood, not just one building.
A resident app that doesn't need your building's permission.
Almost every app aimed at Indian residents is really aimed at their management committee - visitor logs, gate passes, maintenance collection, staff attendance. All useful, all dependent on someone else adopting it first. If your RWA hasn't, or you live somewhere without one, that category is closed to you.
