PadosXO is built by NearGrid Technologies, an Indian company based in Delhi NCR. It's a pincode-first neighbourhood app connecting GPS-verified residents, local businesses and service providers within a 10 km radius. Live across 135 pincodes in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida, free for all users, on Android.

Where this started

The nearest people to you are the hardest ones to reach.

Open your phone and you can reach a colleague in another country in four seconds. You cannot reach the family in the flat below - between you sits a shared water tank, lift, power supply and street, and no channel at all. The mohalla didn't disappear because people stopped wanting it. It disappeared because nothing replaced what a shared courtyard used to do on its own.

01

The group that stopped working

Nobody checks who joined, everything arrives at the same volume, and anything useful is gone within an hour.

02

The app that needs a committee

Society software only starts working after your management committee adopts it. Most of India doesn't live behind that gate.

03

The search that ends nowhere

You search the whole internet for a plumber while the person who has used a good one for nine years lives one floor down.

What we're building

One decision that changes everything else:
start from the pincode.

Almost every design choice in PadosXO follows from one: not the gate, not the society, not the city - the pincode. It's the one unit that already contains everybody. Build from there and you don't need anyone's permission, and the radius stays small enough that whoever answers could genuinely walk over.

The journey so far.

Jan 2026

The idea was born - a neighbourhood WhatsApp group failed during a real emergency. That was the last straw.

Apr 2026

Released V0 - a basic social app for neighbourhoods. GPS verification, local feeds, and the first real users.

Aug 2026

Launched V1 with full neighbourhood features - structured post types, safety alerts, trusted services, human moderation. Live across Delhi NCR.

How we decide things

Four rules we've refused to break.

The founder

Dhruv Paliwal

Dhruv Paliwal

Founder

Built PadosXO from scratch - from the first line of code to the first neighbourhood that went live. Obsessed with making hyperlocal community infrastructure that actually works for real Indian neighbourhoods.

Where we are

Delhi NCR, and deliberately nowhere else yet.

PadosXO is live across Delhi, Gurugram and Noida - 135 pincodes and counting - and that's the whole map for now. Going national early means thousands of empty feeds; we'd rather earn one region properly.

Common questions

Questions about the company.

Who owns PadosXO?

PadosXO is built and owned by NearGrid Technologies, an Indian company operating in Delhi NCR. The app launched in Delhi NCR and is currently live across 135 pincodes in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. Press enquiries can be sent to press@padosxo.com.

What does PadosXO mean?

The name comes from pados, the Hindi word for neighbourhood or vicinity - the same root as padosi, meaning neighbour. It's a deliberate choice: this is an Indian product for Indian neighbourhoods.

How does PadosXO make money?

PadosXO is currently free for residents, local businesses and service providers, with no subscription, listing fee or commission, and no advertising anywhere in the app. We'd rather say plainly that the business model is still being developed than pretend otherwise. What we've committed to is that feed position will never be purchasable.

Is PadosXO a social network?

No, and we avoid the term deliberately. There is no follower count, no public engagement metric, no algorithmic ranking and no incentive to perform for an audience. It is closer to a neighbourhood noticeboard with verification attached.

Why only Delhi NCR?

Because a neighbourhood app with six people in your area is worse than no app at all - it teaches people the idea doesn't work. We open one area at a time and only when there are enough verified residents for the feed to be worth reading on day one.

What is PadosXO not?

It is not a society-management platform - no visitor entry, gate pass, maintenance billing or staff attendance. It is not a dating app, and not a booking marketplace: PadosXO does not vet, background-check or guarantee any service provider, and takes no part in payment. It is not a citywide social network - everything is bounded by your 10 km.

How can journalists or researchers contact PadosXO?

Write to press@padosxo.com. Boilerplate copy, logo files, founder photographs and product screenshots are available on request, and we aim to respond within two working days.

About the app

PadosXO, in plain terms.

PadosXO is a hyperlocal neighbourhood app for India, built by NearGrid Technologies. Residents register their home pincode and see posts, safety alerts, marketplace listings, requirements, recommendations, events and local news within a 10 km radius. Location is verified by GPS: users detected in their registered area on 7 of any 14 days earn Verified Local status, required to post safety alerts.

Free on Android, live across 135 pincodes in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. PadosXO is not a society-management platform - no visitor-entry, gate-pass or maintenance-billing features - and it does not vet, background-check or guarantee any service provider listed on it. The name comes from pados, the Hindi word for neighbourhood.
